To the family of Alex Carr - Alex had finally reconnected with his cousin, my mother Margaret Robinson (nee Carr) just at the time she was relocating to Canada, in 2004. They communicated occasionally via mail & through me. Margaret passed away in 2012 at the age of 96. He very kindly kept in touch with me for a while, giving a little information about the “Carr” side of the family. Naturally, that letter writing dwindled as time passed. Mum always referred to him as “Young Alex”. I feel that she probably remembered his father Alex much better.
I spotted this funeral notice while searching for other information on the Hull / Withernsea area, especially after the recent maritime collision.
Please accept my very belated condolences and appreciation that Alex had connected with our side of the family.
