Peter died peacefully at his home on March 30, aged 77 years.
Before his retirement he worked for the tax office as a manager.
He was the loving brother of David and brother-in-law of Barbara, devoted uncle of Christopher and Emma, great uncle of Eva and a dear friend to many.
The service was due to take place on April 17 at 3pm at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, Burnley Road, Accrington and was officiated by Neil Overton.
Family flowers only, but donations if desired to British Heart Foundation c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services.
