Sally-AnneCHIVERSSally-Anne Nora Chivers née Lagden, the daughter of Joyce and Dudley was born in Epping, Essex on the 14th December 1962. After attending South Park School in Ilford she went on to pursue working as a Nurse at Goodmayes Hospital on the Strauss Ward where she had many great times with her colleagues who she became good friends with. Sally mothered two children, James and Katie for whom she gave up her career and dedicated her life to raising and nurturing. As hobbies she enjoyed gardening and people watching and later liked to 'potter about' in Upminster where she would enjoy a boiling hot cup of coffee and sometimes some brown toast in her favourite café. Sally experienced many hard times throughout her life, stress, anxiety, depression, grief but her strength and courage to push on never once waned. Upon being diagnosed with MS in 2008, Sally was later diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, uncurbable but treatable cancer in 2013 which she fought and defeated, and by 2014 she was in remission. In April-May 2020 the cancer had returned, despite 6 months of up and down health; breathlessness and fatigue. Sally unexpectedly and tragically passed away from disseminated non-Hodgkin lymphoma on 1st November 2020 with her son and daughter close by. Sally is missed dearly by her son and daughter who loved her immensely. The kindness illuminating from her big warm heart will truly never be forgotten.
