Avril JeanCOOPERIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Avril Cooper passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 8th September 2024.

A deeply loved and devoted wife of Ray for 68 years, an adored and deeply loved Mum of Tracey and the late Hayley. A very cherished and treasured Nan of Portia, Harry, Theo and Izaak, and a much loved sister of the late Janet and a dear friend to many.

We will hold you forever in our hearts. Goodnight and god bless you until we meet again.

Funeral service will be held on Friday 27th September at Markeaton Crematorium in the Main Chapel at 1.30pm.

You are all welcome to join us and celebrate Avril's very happy life.

Flowers welcome or donations to Alzheimer's Research UK and Parkinson's UK may be left on the day, online or sent to

Such wonderful memories growing up, Avril and Rays bungalow was like my second home, I remember them taking me on holiday, and to the social clubs where Hayley would be singing, love this family, sending love and prayers to you all ♥️♥️♥️xxx
