William AustinCRAIG(Bill)

Known to everyone as Bill, he died on 29 May 2026, aged 87, with his family by his side.

Much-loved husband of Annie, father of Angela and Matthew, Grandad of William, and brother of Silvia.

A retired civil servant, Bill was one of the most selfless of people and was happiest when his family were happy and well cared for. He created many treasured memories with them, from taking William on holidays when he was younger to later family trips to visit his sister Silvia in Northumberland, where he was born.

He greatly enjoyed the many train journeys he shared with his son Matthew, and his favourite pastimes included puzzles, cryptic crosswords, and making use of his printer.

Bill will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

A private cremation has taken place.
