ArthurCRANNY17th May 2022, peacefully with his loving family, aged 84 years. Much loved husband of Win, dearly loved dad of Lynne and David, father-in-law of Nigel and Hilary, devoted grandad to Leah, Yasmin, Chantal and Nathan and great-grandad to Joshua, Isabelle and Elijah. (Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends) Rest in peace - devoted wife Win. Funeral service at English Martyrs Church, Litherland on Thursday June 9th at 11.45am, Cremation following at Thornton Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Guide Dogs for the Blind c/o David Clegg Independent Funeral Service, 77 - 79 Bridge Road, Litherland, L21 2PA. Tel 0151 928 6665.

Arthur will miss you phoning me to see if I’d enjoyed the cricket, even though I detested it. I would then ask if enjoyed watching Love Island … Think you despaired of me, but you always told me I was your favourite daughter-in-law.

I really hope that you were right about the Easter Bunny bringing my yearly creme egg or you will have one very upset 60 year old next year!

I will miss our regular phone conversations and WhatsApp messages regarding football and cricket, state of the world and comedians of the past. Both of us loved Only Fools and Horses and you regularly quoted your favourite scenes.
