We only knew Dave for a short time, but we immensely enjoyed philosophical chats (and debates!) we had over the few short months we knew him. He was clearly intelligent and caring and will be missed by many.

RIP Dave. One of my quirky teachers from Alderman Callow and later an Earlsdon friend. You taught 'Social Education' like no other and will be sadly missed. Zena.

Very shocked and saddened by the news of David’s passing. Lots of good memories associated with construction sites (student vacations), associated pubs and good craic. Subsequently a good family friend too. R.I.P..

A lovely man. Once lodged with him in the early 90s. He was also the man who loaned Dave Nellist a suit when Dave was being interviewed by the CLP to be the Labour candidate. Dave C always generous in thought and deed. RIP
