JohnCUNNINGHAMIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Cunningham on June 1st, 2024, at the age of 71 years, after a brief illness. John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.
He is deeply missed by his wife, Bernadette; his children, Marc, Gabrielle, and Aisling; and his grandchildren, Jesse and Emilia. John, a retired Headteacher of Our Lady and St. Anselm's RC Primary School, was a devoted grandfather, an enthusiastic gardener, and an avid traveler. He was cherished by all who knew him for his selflessness, kindness, and loving nature.
A celebration of John's life will be held at Our Lady and St. Anselm's RC Church, Whitworth on Tuesday 25th June 2024 at 1.30pm followed committal at Rochdale Crematorium at 3:20 pm.
The wake will take place at Rochdale Rugby Club that evening.
All who knew John are welcome to attend.
The family kindly ask for no flowers but rather, a donation to be made to Cancer Research UK or Crisis UK, a donation box shall be available at Our Lady and St. Anselm's RC Church, Whitworth also at Rochdale Crematorium.
