MargaretDAKINMrs Margaret Dakin, formerly of Grasmere Road, Haslingden, died on Thursday, November 21, at Heather Grange Care Home, Burnley, aged 91. Wife of the late Jack, she leaves sons John and Graham, daughters-inlaw Hillary and Catherine, grandchildren Katharine, Jonathan, Laura and Rachel, greatgrandchildren Amelia, Annie, Daisy, Jack and Samuel and cousins. Margaret spent her formative years growing up in Rawtenstall working at the Haslingden office of Howarths. She stopped working to bring up her family, later turning to shop work in several local shops in Haslingden, including the sweet shops and Gillespies the bakers. She was also a member of Haslingden Cricket Club for many years. The funeral will take place on Friday, November 29, with A service at Haslingden Baptist Church at 1.30pm, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium officiated by Rev Leroy Bowtell.
