Lucy ElizabethDANBYIt is with deep sadness that after a long illness Lucy passed away peacefully on Sunday 29th September 2024 aged 86 years, whilst at her home in Cleethorpes. People may remember our beloved Lucy from living in Hope Street in Grimsby and also working at Birds Eye.

Lucy was the adored Wife of Jim, a devoted Mum of Jimmy, Sam and the late Michael 'Goose', and a cherished Mother-in-Law of Cheryl and Andy.

Lucy was also the much-loved Granny of Georgie, Poppy, Millie and Maisie, a treasured Great Granny of Charlie, Lucas, Lucy and Lenny, a loving sister of Harry and the late, Ann, Douglas and Colin and a very special Aunt and dear Friend to many. Lucy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Lucy's life will take place at the Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 17th October 2024 at 12noon. No dress code is required, the family have asked you all to come in what you feel comfy in.

At the family's request family flowers only, but if so desired, a donation can be sent in lieu of Lucy's memory direct to Parkinson's UK, 50 Broadway London, SW1H 0DB.

All enquiries to: Kettle Funeralcare, 135 Granville Street, Grimsby, DN32 9PB

I can’t find the words to express how lucky I have been to have had you as my mum. You believed in everything I ever did without judgement and loved and supported me when I needed it. Material things meant nothing to you. Love and friendship was all that mattered.
What laughs we had together, right until your passing.
Although I am missing you so much, I feel your presence will always be with me. I was blessed when they gave me to you. I love you mum X

The loss of someone precious leaves a heartache no one can heal.
The love of a beautiful soul leaves memories no one can steel.
