JohnDAVIDSON(Alnwick) Peacefully at home with his family around him on Saturday 20th August, aged 75 years. Beloved husband of Jennifer, much loved father of Emma-Jayne and John and father in law of Nick, a loving grandfather of Jessica, Georgia and Jake and a dear brother of Mary and Elizabeth. Dearly loved and sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service in St. Michael's Church, Alnwick on Wednesday 7th September at 12.00 noon followed by interment in Alnwick Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired will be divided between Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK.

He never looked for praises
He was never one to boast
He just went on quietly working,
For the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken
His wants were very few.
And most of the time
his worries were unspoken too.
He was there…
A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life.
A sturdy hand to hold on to,
in times of stress and strife.
A true friend we could turn to,
when times were good or bad.
One of our greatest blessings
The man that we called Dad.
