Dad, I am so heart broken and saddened you were taken away from us all unexpectedly. I am so grateful and proud to have you as my father. I will cherish my memories of you, as a loving, caring, kind and gentle father. So many loving, fun and happy times spent together thank you. For ever in my heart, I`m missing your cheeky smile. There are some people who leave a little bit of themselves in everyone they love, and you are one of those people Grandad.

You were such a fun, imaginative person, with a fab gift for storytelling. You had a way of seeing the world that was entirely your own, and I’ve always felt that a lot of my creativity and the way I express myself comes from you. I feel so lucky to carry a little piece of you in that way, and I hope you know how much I love that about you.

One of the things I’ll always treasure is the way you loved my Mum. You were so kind to her. You made her laugh, supported her, and showed her how much she meant to you. You made sure she knew she was loved, and watching that has meant more to me than I can ever properly explain. Thank you for being that person for her.

And thank you for being my grandad. You will be missed so much. Love you xxx

We’re still in disbelief that you were taken so suddenly from us. Thank you for being the most kind, caring grandad to us, and the most incredible dad to our mum. You will always be remembered with love and warmth, a fantastic sense of humour and someone who was just an all-around good guy.
