RichardDEACONIt is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Richard (Rick) at the Dianna Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby on Sunday 6th September 2026 after courageous battle fought with dignity until the end.
With me by his side he passed in his sleep.
Dearest Darling Husband to Sue (Susan),
Son of the late Rueben and Rose Deacon,
Brother to John, Fred, Ann, Jennifer, Leslie, Jean and David, brother in law to their respective partners.
Father to Aysha, step dad to Nathan and his husband John.
Brother in law to Mick and Sue
Grandad, Uncle and Great Uncle.
Friend to many.
Rick requested a private cremation which took place on Monday 21st September but a
Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place on Tuesday 27th October 2026 starting at 10.00am
at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby, Spilsby, PE23 4DE.
The home of Just Jane Lancaster Bomber one of Ricks passions.
After the taxi-run Ricks ashes will be put to rest in the Memorial Garden.
After this everyone is welcome to join us at the Spiders Web Carr Lane Grimsby to continue
with celebrating Ricks life
