What a lovely chap David was, erudite and witty he and Jenny his wife were kindness and generous to me when I visited with some recordings they wished to hear. David also admitted me to his home when I was drenched by a sudden downpour making no fuss at all at me dripping onto the floor! Both David and Jenny came to hear Adrian O'Reilly, John Martin and myself perform as Hand Picked at the pub in Paul as part of the Home Made Music sessions and declared themselves fairly satisfied by our performance! Nice genuine people.

David was a multi-talented man who wore his learning lightly, a writer, poet, playwright, song-writer and much more, but above all a kind and charming man I'm so glad to have known
