DavidDICKINSONOn 22nd March David Dickinson died peacefully at home in Barton-upon-Humber in the company of those he loved. Beloved son of Joyce, brother to Andrew and Carol. Generous and admired father of Ciarán, Lara, and Seán. We will miss him immensely. A funeral will be held to celebrate his life from 14:40 Tuesday 5th April at Scunthorpe Crematorium followed by a reception at The Sloop Inn, Barton from 16:00. Please send any donations to FS Machins Funeral Directors which will go to Far Ings National Nature Reserve

David was a great fella, a good crack and always a good word. A very nice man, well remembered. We had some laughs, and a couple of pints as well.
When we first met I recall one of my colleagues saying she lived down Maltkiln's Lane, pointed at me, and said 'He calls it something else', to which Dave replied I bet he does (if you know you know). I'm sorry I was away when he passed. I miss him in Barton and the little dog.
