Many years ago Ian organised a superb weekend away for some members of the Leicester branch of CAMRA. He took us to some of the finest pubs Plymouth had to offer and organised two brewery visits for us. With overnight accommodation at the Borringdon Arms, it was a never to be forgotten trip.
So sad to hear of his passing, will raise a glass in his memory.

Very sad to hear that Dickie has passed away . Served with him on Hms Argonaut . Lovely bloke who was an avid fan of everything from Leicester ! Rugby and Football . He used to give me a lift home at weekends, in his new Ford Orion which he was very proud of , dropping me off in Gloucester on his way back to Leicester then picking me up on Sunday nights on the way back to the ship . A really nice bloke .RIP Dicky. Mark ‘Spinner’ Wheeler
