Thomas WashingtonDISTANTIt is with the heaviest of hearts and great sadness to share the passing of Tom aged 80 years of Longport. Peacefully at rest on Tuesday 15th April at home, embraced by his two loving daughters, Alice and Sasha. A loving dad to Alice, Sasha & Charmaine, proud grandpapa of Isaiah, Zaieem, Eliza, Ayrah and Caius, a much loving brother, uncle, cousin, grandad and great grandad. Tom will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family, friends and all that knew him within the community. Funeral service to be held at Swan Bank Church, Burslem on Thursday 29th May at 1pm, followed by a burial service at Tunstall Cemetery at 2:30pm. Will relatives and friends kindly meet at Swan Bank Church. Family flowers only, donations to be made in Toms memory.

Very rarely to do you come across a clean hearted soul who has a profound universal love for mankind. Thomas Washington Distant had a love for the above in abundance . Tommy will be forever remembered as an individual who blessed my life unconditionally. I will be forever grateful for his support and encouragement he gave me in a 35 year + brotherly friendship and will miss him terribly . My sincere condolences to the nearest and dearest of Tommy’s family .
