OwenDOUGLASDuffryn Street, Ferndale It is with regret on Monday 15th May 2017 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Douglas passed away after a short illness borne with dignity, aged 83 years. A devoted and respected husband to Joyce, a cherished father to Tracey, a dearly loved Pops to David. Doug played a big part in the local community over the years, especially playing football with Ton Pentre. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Resting at Oakland Funeral Home, Ferndale until the funeral on Thursday 25th May 2017 with a service at the funeral home at 12.45pm, followed by committal at Glyntaff Crematorium at 1.30pm. All donations received in lieu of flowers are for the British Lung Foundation and may be forwarded to Mr D A Owen, 11 Duffryn Street, Ferndale. CF43 4ES.
