Sydney ArthurEDWARDSAged 80 years. Of Cygnet Close, Great Sutton, succumbed to pneumonia in the Countess of Chester Hospital surrounded by his family on May 20th 2017. Syd is survived by his wife Sheila of 59 years, daughters Gail (Fred) and Anne (Steve), his brothers John (Cath), Robert (Anne), and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Syd was a great father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Syd loved Liverpool FC and managed a team for many years in local grass roots football. His working life, after serving in the Armed Forces, was mainly at Vauxhall Motors where he was a Quality Assurance Inspector. A special thanks to all who have rallied around with loving care. The Funeral Service will be held at St Paul's Church, Hooton at 12.15pm on Tuesday the 13th June, followed by cremation at Blacon Crematorium, Chester.
