Peter Charles HirstFARMERAge 90; formerly of 39 Culverland Road, Exeter, passed away on Wednesday 26th February 2025.

Peter grew up in Eastbourne, farmed on Bodmin Moor and taught Rural Studies in North Devon. After this he grew trees and worked with the ponies on Exmoor before moving to Exeter where he avidly completed daily crosswords and Wordle.

Peter enjoyed memorising poems, singing in choirs and knitting. He was never short of conversation or friendship.

He is survived by his 5 children, Lucy, Gina, Alex, Jason and Will: his 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

If you would like to attend his funeral please dress warmly, in bright colours as it will be held outside on Wednesday 26th March, 11.00am at Sharpham Natural Burial Ground, Ashprington, Totnes TQ9 7DX.

Family flowers only please.
