John and Pat Hurworth will always remember our friendship with John started over the internet searching for our joint ancestors. We live in Sydney, Australia but met up with John and Pat in Northampton and then with John when we came over to Bagnall twice, visiting him while on holiday. We also emailed and kept in touch by phone. We phoned him only a few weeks ago while he was still at Bagnall Heights. Concerned about him we phoned again today to the Office only to hear the sad news of his passing

To his sons who he talked much about and the rest of his family we send our sincere condolences and would like to say your Father was a real Gentleman, A fine Christian Man prepared to help others, a generous man with whom we shared our family history together and helped each other with our discoveries. and a man we were pleased to have called a friend.
