JeffreyFINLOW(Jeff) Jeff Finlow 1928-2015 Jeff died peacefully in his sleep after battling dementia for many years. He leaves behind his widow Dilys, his sister Mary, children Alex, Robin and Eleanor, and grandchildren Lucy, Daniel and Christopher. Jeff served in the Royal Air Force for his National Service and then had a life-long career in the Ministry of Defence. Dilys and Jeff retired to East Grinstead and enjoyed 30 years here before moving into sheltered accommodation in Folkestone in 2012. Jeff was a keen member of the camera club and sailed his dingy at Wierwood Reservoir. He loved sport especially football. He supported many charities and community bodies, including the "Egbus", RAFA and the Wings Flag Day, Meals on Wheels and Cancer Care. Jeff's dementia meant that friends and family have been losing the man they knew over recent years. He will be remembered with love as a kind and generous man. The funeral is at Hawkinge Crematorium on 16th March.
