RodneyFLETCHERSadly on Friday November 24th 2023, Rodney aged 78 years, passed away at home with his loving wife and daughter by his side.

A very much loved and devoted husband to Joyce, a wonderful dad to Karen, a dear father-in-law to Pete and treasured grandad to Maddison.

Rodney was also a well known and respected retired teacher in the area. In his younger days Rodney played professional football for Lincoln, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.

A celebration of Rodney's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday December 13th at 4:30pm.

By request family flowers only, but a donation to Cancer Research UK would be appreciated. A donation box will be available on the day.

The family will not be wearing mourning clothes. Feel free to add a touch of colour.

I knew Mt Fletcher when I was at Humberston Comprehensive School. A lovely teacher. Sending my condolences to Mr Fletcher's family. RIP Mr Fletcher.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rod Fletcher. Mr. Fletcher was a truly remarkable teacher who played an important role in my life. Although I spent many class periods in his office after being kicked out of class, he always managed to support and guide me as a young boy. He was always calm, patient, and gave good, sound advice. I respected him so much for this. I am sure his family is proud of him, and I will always cherish my fond memories of him.
