Michael JohnFLOYDIt's with great sadness that the family announce, Mick aged 81 years sadly passed away whilst at home on Monday 21st August 2023.

Loving husband to Rita, devoted dad to Patrick, Michael and the late Ricky, cherished father-in-law to Kirsty, loving brother to Valerie & brother-in-law to Mick, Barry, Chris and Tina, a treasured grandad to Abbie, Chloe, Eliza, Oscar, Mobi, Rowan, Kurt and the late Leon. Mick will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at St James's Church, Uttoxeter Road, Longton on Friday 15th September 2023 at 1pm followed by cremation at Carmountside Crematorium. Would relatives please accept this intimation and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church

Flowers welcome or if desired donations to Douglas Macmillan Hospice

My deepest condolences to all those whose lives Mick touched.
If goodness was a person, that person would be Mick.
The loss of such a wonderful person is profound; he is benevolence personified.
We all know we can’t keep death from life.
But we can keep away the ‘dying’ because of that wonderful safety net called legacy.
Mick’s passing—and our memories of him—invite us to up our giving game. To become better givers, to work on being less judgemental, to be more accepting. He can be eternal through our actions that continue his kindness.
