ChrisFORDOf Ambleside Avenue, Rawtenstall, passed away peacefully on September 8th, aged 76, after a short illness. Chris leaves behind Liz, his wife of 51 years, daughter Rachel and her husband Graham, son Nick and his fiancée Louise, and grandchildren Alfie and Ella. Chris worked at Lambert Howarth's for many years before working as a driver for Holland's Pies, retiring in 2014. He enjoyed playing golf and was a long-standing supporter of Burnley Football Club. He was an avid gardener, spending much of his time outdoors since his retirement, and he loved visiting family both at home and abroad.
A service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd, at St James the Less Church, conducted by Fr Stamp. This was followed by an interment at Rawtenstall Cemetery. The family's preferred charities for donations are Pendleside Hospice and Cancer Research UK. Arrangements were entrusted to Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd.
