DerekFORSTER(Gateshead) Passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on 29th July 2024, aged 94 years, Derek.

Devoted husband of Moira, dearest dad of Elaine, Geoff and Alison, much loved father-in-law of Andrea and Stuart, cherished grandad of Daniel, Nicola, Fiona, Anna, Amy, and Andrew and special great grandad of Mila.

A service of thanksgiving followed by refreshments will take place on Wednesday 14th August at 13:30, at Chowdene Church, 660 Durham Road, NE9 6JA.

Donations in lieu of flowers will be received on the day, to be shared between KML Kare, Marie Curie and Macmillan, as a thank you for their love and care shown to Derek, and to the rest of the family.

Derek was very kind to me when I was growing up at the YPF. He was full of faith and fun, with lots of amusing stories. I remember him coming to repair my mum’s twin tub.
Very fond memories of a good, family man.
Now in his eternal home with Jesus, his Lord and Saviour.
