Another year has passed, but new links have been formed that will contribute to the continuity of memories that I have of you, Les. Cardiff, and Llandaff North, have been visited by myself and members of my family as your life is celebrated with mine. Long may this continue.

Three years on and the memories linger. Not forgotten, remembered always. Stewart.

We met again in Cardiff in 1971. By then your life had been joined with Bernadette and Brian. Now, fifty years on, the memories again return,.... the memories of a boyhood-best friendship. The memories will long remain.

We were mates in Caldy Road, Llandaff North, Cardiff. I then went to Australia. However, we did meet again, but that was almost fifty years ago! Recently, and with sadness, I was able to again find out about you as a result of an obituary notice. I remember visiting you, Bernie and a very young Brian at your home in Cardiff (in 1971). I have always remembered the poem that is on the plaque you gave me when I left Cardiff for Melbourne: "True friendship is a joyous thing, and gives us happy hours; A friendless life would be so drear, like a garden without flowers." All too brief. I never forgot you, Les, and I never will! Rest in Peace, Stewart Culbard.
