“PK954117, Royal Navy our Dad.
When we were little you sold your camera to give us a Christmas.
You took us on camping holidays In a borrowed tent, laughing and singing together while you played your guitar like three musketeers. You were our hero.
We had no money but we were rich. We had a loving family, our Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts and good friends but most importantly of all, we had you Dad, and we did love you so.
You taught us love of family, honesty, a work ethic, respect for others, enthusiasm, model making and chess.
It’s 8 bells now, time to board the Liberty boat . Sweet dreams. We will always love you Dad. Your Sons, Ted and Paul.”
