FrancesGABRIELFrances passed away peacefully at Astell House Care Home, Cheltenham on Sunday 27th October 2024.

She enjoyed a successful career in healthcare and education: first training as a Nurse at Barts in London and then becoming licensed as a Midwife in Manchester.

Following emigration to Canada she pursued a career as a Public Health Nurse in rural Nova Scotia. After returning to university to complete her Masters in Nursing she went on to become a Professor. Ultimately she assumed the role of Assistant Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of New Brunswick.

She returned to England in 1993 to marry her first love, Dr Richard Gabriel.

Her memory survives in the hearts and minds of her friends, family and particularly her son Tristram.
