David CharlesGODDINGOur amazing Dad, David Charles Godding, 71 from Rochdale, sadly went to sleep for the last time at home, on Saturday 8th February 2025 with his children by his side.

He will be loved and missed by his children Donna, Kelly and her children Chloe, Dylan and Lewis. Tony and his wife Emma and their children Elysia and Matilda and also Harry who was waiting to meet him as he passed. His brothers and sisters and everyone who knew him.

David's passion for 'Dad' jokes and his sense of humour will make us smile and eye roll forever.

The funeral will be held at
Dixons Funeral Home,
2 Manchester Road, Rochdale, OL11 4HY on Thursday 20th February 2025.

David will start his final journey from St Anns Road, where his family home will always be. Then to Dixons where the service will start at 1.30pm then at the graveside for 2.30pm at Rochdale Cemetery.

Contributions please to Springhill Hospice, the amazing team who looked after Dad would be much appreciated.

Dave arrived as our new neighbour 19 years ago,,and left as a friend. Such a lovely gentle man .Never a cross word between any of our close neighbours. I will miss leaning over our fences listening to your dry sense humour. Taken absolutely far to soon. R.I.Paradise Dave.

David bless you always made me laugh with that wicked sense of humour of yours, you always kept in touch and for that was always grateful. Rest easy uncle David, you were a gentleman with a big heart, you will be missed beyond measure.
