To Mike, Claire and family. Jackie and Lea send our condolences and hugs at this heartbreaking 💔 time from Israel 🇮🇱.
My very dear friend Hughie that I have known for some 30 years will be missed dearly.
Hughie always had time for everyone with an infectious smile on his face.
Had travelled the world in the Merchant Navy. With amazing stories to tell. A truly wonderful character that was bigger than life & personality who will be sorely missed by myself, his friends & his family.
We love ❤️ you and miss you.
Rest in everlasting peace my soul mate friend SHALOM.
Jackie & Lea.

Hello everyone, and thank you for being here today to remember and celebrate the life of my grandad, Hugh.
Grandad was one of the kindest, most honorable men I’ve ever known. He was truly humble—a gentle soul who put family above all else and would do anything for anyone. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger he happened to strike up a conversation with, he made time for you. He had that gift—he could talk to anyone, and he genuinely cared.
Some of my favorite memories are simple but special. Walking with him around Liverpool Football Stadium, playing rummy together, and taking him to the charity shops in Guernsey. It didn’t matter what we were doing—he made everything feel warm and meaningful, just by being himself.
Grandad taught me so much, not by lecturing, but by living. From him, I learned the value of kindness, courage, and taking time for people. I am who I am in so many ways because of him.
So thank you, Grandad—for your love, your time, your stories, and your quiet strength. Thank you for being you. I’ll carry what you gave me for the rest of my life.
We love you. We’ll miss you. And we’ll never forget you.

A tribute to my granddad —
He was my world.
My biggest supporter, my best friend, and the one person who always believed in me.
His love was constant, his advice full of wisdom, and his presence brought comfort like no other.
I’m so proud I got to know him the way I did.
He shaped who I am in more ways than I can count.

What means the most is that Eden got to meet him, even if only for a little while.
He got to feel the warmth, the love, the strength that made him so special.
I’ll carry him with me in everything I do.
Forever proud, forever grateful, and forever missing him.
God Bless Granddad, I love you always
Can’t believe I’m never gonna hear you say “how much” again.
