Edna EvelynGRANTOn December 23rd, 2022 peacefully at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital with her family by her side, Edna aged 92 years. Devoted, much loved wife and best friend of the late Brian, much loved mother of Nigel and Kathryn, loving mother-in-law of Sue and Alan, adored grandma of Elizabeth, Eloise, Joel and Jack, new great-grandma of Oliver, a dear sister-in-law, aunt and a good friend to many. A service to celebrate Edna's life will be held at St Giles Church, Scartho on Wednesday 11th January at 2.30pm followed by private committal at Grimsby Crematorium at 3.45pm. No flowers please by request; if desired, donations in lieu may be sent to North-East Lincs Downs Syndrome Family Support Group, 11 Scartho Road, Grimsby DN33 2AB. A sad loss of my godmother. The stories of the young aunt Edna and my mum, her sister Olive, used to recite on what they got up to as girls would turn their father in his grave. Now together again, I wish the good Lord all the best in trying to control those two. He will certainly have a good laugh.
