To Grandma

Thank you for being the absolute best Grandma anyone could ask for!

You were also so gentle, loving and supportive of everything I and the rest of the family did.

You were the most selfless person who would look after everyone else first before yourself and would absolutely insist on us having a biscuit even when we had just eaten
because as you would say ‘well your a growing lad!’

But that’s the kind of person you were Grandma, whether it was looking after Grandpa especially in his latter years or babysitting me and my brothers when we were younger you would always be there to help and look after anyone that needed it.

I would always say you were the bionic woman and could do anything and that there was no obstacle you couldn’t overcome whether it be in the garden tending to weeds, adapting to understand and use the ever changing technology or overcoming any mental and physical challenges thrown your way.

It was always my honour to be able to assist you with anything you needed be it moving compost, watering plants or being there for support when you were feeling wobbly.

It was my absolute privilege to be your grandson and to be able to share the presence of such a truly remarkable super woman.

You can rest easy now Grandma and be reunited with Grandpa again for this next venture.

Sleep tight Grandma, Love you always and forever!!

Mrs Gunn was my much loved teacher in junior 3 and 4. I adored her. She was the best thing about my school days. Such a kind, supportive and effective teacher. I owe so much to her. I’ve often thought of her over the last (almost 50!) years. I’m glad she had such a long life, that’s a blessing to everyone she touched in her positive, meaningful life. Sending much love to her family and friends. She will be very missed.
