What a sudden and tragic loss to a great sportsman and clubman I had pleasure to play with Matthew in back row for DPRC ….RIP Roger Ryley (Australia)

Matthew was one of the good guys! I remember having a chat with him in the early hours at his home as I, being a typical teenager was not happy living at home. He made me a cup of tea, made me laugh and walked me back home. God bless him on his trip upwards to a better place. Sending much love to all his family xx

I had the pleasure of knowing g Mathew during my Cardiff days and quickly realised what a top man he was . He became a great friend and had time for everyone.
Mathew was an honest hard working and loyal person who touched the hearts of all those lucky enough to meet him.
On our tour to Thailand we spent many hours together and I will never forget his friendship. He was someone who could be trusted and respected and he treated us all the same .
He will be so sorely missed by all who knew him and will leave a gap in the
lives of many
particularly his
loving family who
I know he worshipped
Sincere condolences to all the family but take pride in the love and adoration shown by so many for a wonderful man
Take care
