I have had the absolute honour and pleasure of knowing Jim for many years. The last time we were sat together putting the world to right was at the Wheatsheaf on St. George's Day. I cannot believe that Jim has been taken from us. He was the epitome of a "gentle giant," and he will leave a gap here that will never be filled. His heart was as big as his hands, and he was such a genuine, kind and generous person. I bet he's looking down on us now, saying, "Why are they making such a fuss?" Well, Jim, the answer to that is this. "You were irreplaceable, and the world will be a far poorer place for your leaving us.
I will forever be grateful for the time I spent in his company. RIP, big man.
