Margaret Joan WilsonHANCOCKBorn in Londonderry to William and Lily Wilson, attending Bennett Street Primary School and The Londonderry High School.

Joan met Clifford Hancock at a dance in the local Guildhall. Clifford was stationed in Londonderry with the R.F.A.

Joan was married to Clifford on 31st March 1956 at Cliftonville Presbyterian Church, Belfast. Future moves included to Mossley, Essex and eventually settling in Paignton.

Joan was a primary school teacher and loved taking assemblies for the children. Her favourite reading is from Isaiah 53 verse 6 "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."

A service to celebrate the life of Joan will be held at Palace Avenue Methodist Church, Paignton, on Wednesday 16th April at 12.00 noon.
