I am privileged to have known Richard both as a friend and a work colleague for Many years.

As a friend I often recall our many conversations regarding his early life. He and his brother John along with his Father had many adventures enjoying motor race meetings throughout the country.
Richard had an excellent memory and could recall specific details of the various racing drivers and the cars they were driving at the time.

As a work colleague Richard had the unique ability to put people at ease and understand their needs, then satisfy there expectations consistently.

If you were Richard’s friend you had a true friend for life.

Richard you are truly missed
Rest in Pease.
Mike Roberts.

Such sad news to wake up to here in Australia. Richard stayed with us many times in Perth over the last 30 years. Having worked with Richard in 1990 at Harvey's BMW, it was great when he reached out to us to visit.
We had so many laughs and fun times reminiscing about forgotten places in Grimsby and all the pubs in the surrounding villages.
Richard had to be one of the easiest house guests you could have.
He loved exploring West Australia and went all over.
Great memories too how amazing he was to our daughter Katie and son Adam.
Heartfelt condolences to John, Chris, Dave and Sara.
Regards
Tina, Dave, Katie and Adam Drinkell
