Stanley WilliamHATCHIt is great sadness that the family announces his passing on 31st October 2022, at the age of 77. Stan passed away following a heart attack and brief stay at North Devon District Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Shirley and will forever be in the hearts of his daughter Julie and her husband David, his son Lee and his partner Melissa, and his four grandchildren, Dotty, Milly, Edie and Charlie. Stan of Braunton and formerly Hillingdon, worked in retail, he was an avid golfer from a boy, he loved a pint and the company of friends in his local pub, and his daily walks with his beloved dogs brought him great joy. The funeral service will be held at North Devon Crematorium, Barnstaple, at 3pm on Thursday 17th November. All that knew Stan are welcome to attend. The family ask that in lieu of flowers charitable donations are made to the RNLI by retiring collection or c/o L. Clarke & Sons 1 Caen Shopping Precinct, Braunton, EX33 1EE. Tel: 01271 813526.

Great memories of Stan as a golfing and social companion. Will always have fond memories of a lovely brandy whilst watching Twinkle Town.
Cheers Stan!

I’m very sorry to hear the news about Stan, and sincere condolences to the family.

I am one of the many ‘Saturday Staff’ that benefited from Stan’s wise guidance and leadership at the start of our careers.

You were a true inspiration.

Rest in Peace, my Friend.

Stan will always be remembered for his love of dog walks, enjoying time with his friends and family, the odd G&T at sunset and his wonderful smile.
He loved living in Devon and his golf and he will be sorely missed.
