PhilipHEBDIGEIt is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our much loved dad Philip on 29th July, 2026.
A loving father to Tom and Lucy, father in law to Emma and Christopher, much loved papa to Daisy, William, Harry and Stanley. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and is now at peace, reunited with his beloved wife Yvonne.

A funeral service will take place at St Lawrence Church, Scunthorpe on Wednesday 19th August, 2026 at 10am followed by a private family interment.

Flowers welcome or donations in lieu can be sent to Glanford Lions Club or the Scunthorpe Rotary Club.

I’m shocked by this news, I worked for Philip in the butchers in Ashby , and I saw him on a weekly basis in Tesco Brigg ,where I now work , I wondered why I hadn’t seen him, my condolences to his family , Philip was a lovely gentleman and I’m sure he will be missed by many x

Sorry to hear about Philip. I spent best part of twenty years working with him in all of his family shops, also my wife worked at his mum and dad's house on Church Lane for many years.

So sorry to hear this sad news . I have very fond memories of Philip and Yvonne from the butchers days and Heslam Park .
