Uncle Mike...heartbroken. One of the funniest and most genuine humans I have ever met. I will miss you terribly. See you in the pubs above :) love- Nina

I met Maxi at De La Salle aged 13. Years later I had the honour of being best man at his wedding to Brenda. Me and Pat will always treasure the time spent with Mike and Brenda -going back to when we we young.. Whether in our houses, out socialising in pubs or restaurants or on days out - life was never ever dull . Some memories never fade - like Mike saving me from a thrashing in a Welsh Caravan park when we were 16 - or the four of us getting lost on a small motor boat in a storm on Windermere.
At this sad moment our thoughts are with Brenda and Kate. It has been said that what we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us - and maybe Mike will be looking down on us to find ways to make us smile again.
Rest in Peace Michael.

I feel like I've known Mike much of my life, he was always there, always so protective. It was always so much fun when he was around. He was so witty, always doing spot on impersonations of actors, notably Dean Martin, James Cagney and Marlin Brando, to name a few. If you were feeling a bit down, by the end of the day, you were belly laughing. I'm going to miss that. When we would fly in from the U. S. he always welcomed us in his home. I loved the big English Breakfasts he made for us in the morning, then he'd take us all out in his car. In the evening we would watch old movies together, play old songs, and re-live days gone by, we'd cry, dance and laugh together. He'd be in bulk laughing at us all dancing in his living room. I still remember when he took us all to see Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons, because we loved them so much. Always, so generous. My brother in law Mike, what will we do without you, rest in peace, your sister in law Viv, xxx

Mike was my brother in law and best man friend. We had known each other for 50 years. We shared all the trials and tribulations of life, sometimes with laughter and sometimes with tears. He had a deep sense of loyalty to his family and friends. He cared about the details when i talked to him. He loved to recreate the same funny stories about our youth and they were always just as entertaining then as the first time told. He had an incredible knack of making us all quit taking ourselves so seriously. I will truly miss his company. I'll miss seeing his great smile. I'll miss his "full monty" British breakfast when I came to stay, and most of all I'll miss hearing his cheerful voice. I will always have a heavy heart when I think of him. Rest in peace Mikey. Until we meet again. God Bless. Your sister, Eileen

Mike Heeligan was my friend for more than 40 years of both his and my life.
We had some great times together and I have many amusing anecdotes although mostly of a boring to outsiders nature.
I loved this guy and my life will be hugely emptier with him passing.

God bless you Mike.

I give my sincere condolences to Brenda and Kate
