Dear Catherine and John
So as you know who I am. My grandmother and grandfather were Walter and Mary Hey who resided at Ainsley! My mother is Jennifer Schofield ne Hey.
I have particularly fond childhood memories of both your mother Muriel and father Ken.
When I was a young child and used to come to stay in Marsden, Mary(nana) would take me for walks round Eastergate and when passing your house on Waters Road we would pop in to your house for a cup of tea and a biscuit or cake!
I also have many fond memories of going to cricket matches John, with you and your dad! Funny old life innit! Can barely remember yesterday some days, yet these memories are etched clearly in my mind!
I vividly remember the day I heard of Muriel passing! It was the very first time I ever saw or heard my mum crying, she was incredibly sad as she explained to me why! I joined her in shedding many tears!
Thanks to all the Hey's who entered my life from birth to this day, I am proud to be related!
I hope our paths can cross one day and celebrate the 'meaning of life'.
May you all live long and prosper!
With best regards to you and yours,
Brett Schofield
