Keith LeonardHILLSKeith Hills, aged 79, passed away peacefully on 22nd July 2026.
Keith was originally from West Norwood, London, before moving to Stevenage as a teenager and eventually settling in Eaglescliffe in 1980, where he made his home and built a life surrounded by the people he loved.
Keith was a genuinely kind and caring man who always put others before himself. He had a cheeky nature and a wonderful sense of humour, and was adored by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the anchor of his family - someone they could always rely on, and whose love, kindness and presence brought everyone together.
Keith was a devoted husband to Carol, a much-loved dad to Robert and Simon, and a treasured grandad to Samuel, Antonia and Catherine. He was also a very proud great-grandad to Tigerlily, Abel and Esmeralda. He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Pam, niece Louise, nephew Matthew, and by all of his wider family and friends.
Keith had a lifelong love of football and proudly supported both Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace. From a young age, he was also an avid trainspotter, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He loved nothing more than going for walks with Carol and, above all, spending time with his family- particularly cooking for them and bringing everyone together around the table.
Keith leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories and laughter. His kindness, cheekiness and unwavering devotion to his family will never be forgotten.
He was loved by so many and will be missed more than words can say. His memory will live on in all those whose lives he touched.
Please join us for a celebration of Keith's life at The Locomotion Hotel, Eaglescliffe between 12pm-4pm on the 19th August 2026.
