MarleneHITCHENMrs Marlene Hitchen of Hipping's Vale, Oswaldtwistle, died on Thursday April 28th at Queens Lodge Nursing Home, Blackburn, aged 84. Born in Preston, she moved to Accrington after training with Lancashire Police. She then worked at Platt Saco Lowell and then Hambledon Studios until retirement. A member of St Pauls Church in Oswaldtwistle, Marlene was involved with the local food bank and Accrington Probus Club. The loving wife of the late Alan for 52 years, she was the dearest mum to Andrew, mother in law to Gill and loving proud nana of Charlotte and James. Her funeral will be held at 10.00am on Tuesday 31st May at St Pauls Church, Oswaldtwistle. Officiated by Father Jordan, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 11.00am.
