David JamesHOGANDavid James Hogan, of Baxenden, formerly
Accrington, very sadly passed away peacefully
surrounded by his loving family in the early hours
of Wednesday, March 5, aged 77.
He was the loving and much loved husband of Susan, to whom he was married for 52 years.
They raised two children Adam and Melissa, who he adored and who also adored him.
He also leaves behind his much loved grandchildren Isabelle and Harry.
After leaving school in 1963, he began his apprenticeship with British Gas before starting his own plumbing and heating business at the age of 25.
Dedicated to his family, he supported them in their hobbies and became chief coach at Accrington
Swimming Club for many years.
He thoroughly loved Scuba Diving both throughout Britain and abroad, he also enjoyed Formula One, fishing and watching cricket, he was always happiest around people and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was the youngest child of James and Ivah Hogan and brother to Ann and Peter-John (all now sadly deceased), he was also a much loved father-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle and friend to many.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at
St Josephs Church, Accrington at 12pm,
followed by burial at Dill Hall Cemetery at 1pm.

his daughter who is running in London Landmarks Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK would be much appreciated.
