AlanHOLDENAlan Holden, of Haslingden, passed away peacefully at
Highfield Hall Care Home on December 18, aged 83.
A beloved husband of the late Susan, Alan was a devoted father to Sandra and Julie, and a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren.
He was a painter and decorator by trade and later
became a successful self employed market trader selling shoes on Bury and Salford market.
A talented sportsman in his younger years, Alan proudly played football for Accrington Stanley and Blackburn Rovers, showcasing his skill and love
for the game.
Later in life, he turned his athletic enthusiasm to golf,
becoming an active and valued member of Rossendale Golf Club.
Alan’s funeral service will take place at Burnley
Crematorium on Thursday, January 2, at 10:45 am, leaving the Pleasant St Chapel Of Rest at 10.15am.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating
his remarkable life.
Donations in Alan’s memory are welcomed for
St Mary’s Football Club, a cause close to his heart.
