The funeral service will be held at the Briwnant Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff at 12noon on Monday Aug. 22. No flowers, donations in lieu of flowers if desired would be appreciated for the Marie Curie Hospice, Penarth. Marie was a distinguished scholar, both at Ardwyn Grammar School, Aberystwyth and at University College, Aberystwyth, where she attained both B.Sc and B.A. degrees. Choosing teaching as her career she taught at various institutions, including sixteen years at Howells School, Llandaff, Cardiff and a period teaching Philosophy at Cardiff University.
