So so sad. I have known Meurig since school days and worked with him in the path lab in YG. He was always pleasant and I shall miss him.

It was with total shock and surprise that I was informed that my skilled and close colleague of many years at Ysbyty Gwynedd had died on May 22nd 2025.
Meurig was a splendid doctor of medicine who practised as a Consultant Histopathologist, Cytologist and Anatomist. He provided splendid diagnostic services for many years to assist in the care of patients of Gwynedd and Anglesey, in a quiet and dedicated manner. Only his surgical and medical colleagues fully understood the quality of the service he provided for so many years in his beloved Wales.
Meurig was a true dedicated Welshman, a true family man, and in all the years we worked together he was revered by everyone who knew him.
Thanks Meurig. Your memory will be long lasting.
Dr Don Wayte, Emeritus Consultant and Home Office Pathologist.
