John PatrickHURTPassed away peacefully on 29th May 2025. He was just 80 years old. All the family are deeply saddened by his death.
He is missed by his loving wife of 57 years Margaret and his daughters Tracey, Marie and Rachel.
Forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren Jack, Ellen, Emma and Harry.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Tony and as uncle to Caroline, Lee and Daniel.
Also his sons in law Ashley, Paul and Gavin.
John was born in Derby on 17th March 1945 to Frank and Dorothy Hurt. He attended school in Allenton and later technical college where he achieved his Plumbing qualifications. Throughout his career at the Co-op and later Trent Buses, he was a dedicated and reliable member of the team. He made friends wherever he went and was always on hand to help everyone he met along the way.
He was a keen Derby County fan and attended home games with his brother Tony in his younger days.
John had a passion for motorbikes and rode for many years, with Margaret often pillion.
John was always a keen gardener and was happiest when attending to the garden, buying plants and advising his daughters on how to grow and nurture the plants he bought them. He was always on hand to help renovate and improve houses for his family and friends. It was really his passion and also a purpose.
He took an active role in the lives of his grandchildren. Often taking them to Twin Lakes for days out and hours of playing in the garden. Often with the family dogs Archie and Whisky.
The funeral will be held on Monday 30th June at 11.30am at Trent Valley Crematorium Aston on Trent
