James ReginaldIREDALE"Reg" 2nd May 1919 - 9th October 2021 One of the last veterans of Dunkirk and the 1944 "D-Day" landings. Peacefully, at Overgate Hospice, Elland, on Saturday 9th. October 2021, Reg, aged 102 years. He was the much loved and loving husband of the late Madge, proud and loving father of Rachel and the late Christopher, special Grandad of John, Daniel, Andrew, Katie and Helen, a devoted great-grandad of William, Harry and Alfie and a dear father-in-law of Andrew and Rachel. He was well respected for his strong community spirit and many years of voluntary work throughout Calderdale. A service to celebrate Reg's life will be held at Park Wood, Elland on Friday 5th. November 2021 at 12-00 noon. By request, family flowers only please, but donations in lieu, if so desired, may be given for the benefit of The Royal British Legion (Elland Branch) and Overgate Hospice.
