Olive LucyIRISH(Ystradowen) - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Olive Lucy Irish on Saturday 5th October 2024 at Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend, aged 94 years.
Olive was preceded in death six weeks earlier by her beloved husband of 74 years, Philip (Phil). Olive was the much-loved daughter of the late Robert and Florence Tyrrell, and devoted sister to her late sister Enid and late brother George. She leaves behind her grieving family, daughter Julie and husband Glen (Ames, IA, USA) and daughter Linda and husband Mike (Wem, Salop); grandchildren Alexander (Alex) and wife Odessa, granddaughter Adrienne (Ady) and grandson Connor; great-grandchildren Finn, Quill and Evander. Olive was a kind-hearted and caring woman who took great joy in her family and friends. She will be forever missed. Thanks to friends and neighbours in Ystradowen and the Cowbridge Rotary Club for their care, kindness and friendship to Olive.
Funeral service will take place at St Owain's Church, Ystradowen on Thursday 14th November at 12.15pm and thereafter followed by Coychurch Crematorium, Simonston Rd, Coychurch, Bridgend CF35 6AB.
